Classes and Education
Young Women’s Cancer Support Group (2nd Tuesday of each month)
This support group is geared towards women 45 and younger. Young women facing a cancer diagnosis have a different set of needs than those in a later phase of life. Body image, relationships, fertility, young children, early onset menopause, career challenges, treatment choices and financial stress are just some of the issues that come up for young women with cancer. There is often concern for the impact of her diagnosis on family, friends, collegues and children, and participation in support groups with older women can often be isolating. Join us for this monthly group that will combine education with emotional support. Share your journey with others who are faced with similar challenges. The group can help reduce anxiety and provide information and tools that can support you during your treatment and recovery process. All meetings are held in confidence. This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 12:30-1:30 PM. Free. 2449 Summerfield Road, Main Entrance (2nd floor) in Santa Rosa. Call (707) 521-7785 with questions or before coming for the first time.
