Classes and Education
Peripheral Neuropathy Education and Support Group
It is not uncommon for people using certain types of chemotherapy to develop tingling, burning and/or numbness or high sensitivity, usually beginning in their fingers and toes or hands and feet. Some meetings will feature educational topics such as nutrition and acupuncture (may help reduce severity of symptoms), falls risk/balance awareness, and information on physical therapy/occupational therapy. In the support group we will discuss how this condition impacts your life, share coping techniques, and provide a supportive place to discuss the challenges that neuropathy presents.
