Everyone deserves access to high-quality health care. Each year, Sutter Health invests millions of dollars back into its communities. Through these investments—and our partnerships within local communities—we’re helping to care for people without health insurance, improve health care facilities and add vital programs and services.

At Sutter Health, we believe our patients deserve access to high-quality health care—regardless of their ability to pay or whether they have medical insurance.
2010 Community Benefit
In 2010, our network of physician organizations, hospitals and other health care providers invested $751 million (compared to $650 million in 2009) in health care programs, services and benefits for the poor and underserved and broader community.
Sutter Health now provides an average of more than $2.3 million in charity care per week.
