Generous Donors Help Sutter Health Expand and Improve Health Care for Over 100 Northern California Communities
SACRAMENTO, Calif. July 13, 2006 – In 2005, Sutter Health hospitals, physician organizations and other health care service providers together received a record $96.2 million from generous community donors. Charitable dollars help ensure Sutter Health affiliates can purchase new equipment, build or enhance facilities where patients are treated, fund important life saving education programs and enhance medical technology.
Philanthropy is a vital funding source for all Sutter affiliates. At Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento, for example, a philanthropic donation from the family of the late Fred Anderson, founder of Pacific Coast Building Products, Inc., is helping to construct the new Anderson Lucchetti Women's and Children's Center. The center is planned as Northern California's most comprehensive provider of pediatric care outside the San Francisco Bay area.
"Through the help of generous donors, the Sutter Health network will continue to exceed our customers' expectations by demonstrating the highest levels of quality and service at an affordable price for generations to come," said Sutter Health CEO Pat Fry.
