Sutter Davis Hospital Wins Workplace Excellence Award

DAVIS, Calif., May 1, 2009 - Sutter Davis Hospital was named a winner of the Sacramento Workplace Excellence Leader Awards at a dinner held by the Sacramento Area Human Resource Association on April 29. The SWEL awards recognize employers who provide exceptional benefits, programs and training, and promote employee health, safety, advancement, diversity and security.

SDH earned the top award in the "medium-sized, not-for-profit" category. Among the human resource practices that caught judges' attention was the promotion of a team-oriented culture, known as the "Sutter Davis Difference." It allows the hospital to focus on the six Pillars of Excellence: clinical quality, service, community, growth, finance and people. Activities and performance evaluations are in accordance with the six pillars, and associated behaviors are consistently recognized and rewarded by the management team.

The SWEL award will be housed in the lobby display case.
