    Sutter Health President and CEO Pat Fry Appointed Board Chair for VHA Inc.

    Integrated Network’s Latest Collaboration on Health Care Innovation, Efficiency and Clinical Outcomes

    SACRAMENTO, Calif., June 10, 2011 - Sutter Health President and CEO Pat Fry has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors for VHA Inc., a national network of more than 13,500 not-for-profit health systems and hospitals. Through VHA’s collaborative network, members share best practices that help advance clinical outcomes and improve efficiency.

    Having served on VHA’s Board of Directors since 2009, Fry assumes this one-year position during a pivotal time in the transformation of health care nationwide. Fry also serves as immediate Past Chair of the California Hospital Association Board of Directors, having led advocacy efforts statewide in 2010 to ensure hospitals continue to meet the growing needs of patients while striving to make health care more affordable.

    Since 1977, Texas-based VHA has offered its members vital tools and resources to help improve clinical and financial performance, all with an eye toward improving patient care and reducing costs.
