Sutter Health’s www.MyLifeStages.org Named Best Interactive Website for Second Year in a Row
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Jan. 4, 2010 - As more Americans turn to the Internet for health information, Sutter Health’s www.MyLifeStages.org has received a gold award for “Best Interactive [Web] Site” from the prestigious eHealthcare Leadership Awards. Sutter Health’s portal connects women with Sutter-affiliated doctors, health information, tools, expert tips and more. This is the second year in a row Sutter Health received the award.
The honor recognizes www.MyLifeStages.org for its interactive features and customized health resources that provide women and their families with tools to maintain active and healthy lifestyles. An independent panel of judges familiar with health care and the Internet evaluated nearly 1,300 entries from across the nation, ultimately selecting the Sutter Health network’s site as a gold winner alongside www.WebMD.com in the Consumer General Health category.
“Many women today are caught in a balancing act between career, family and household responsibilities, often with little time left to take account for their personal health,” said Toni Brayer, M.D., chief medical officer for the Sutter Health West Bay Region and medical advisor for MyLifeStages. “MyLifeStages delivers relevant, reliable wellness resources with the additional convenience of e-mail reminders for checkups, platforms to track wellness goals, blogs to document progress and more.”
With over 7,000 members, MyLifeStages offers a variety of features and resources, including Ask the Expert, videos, blogs, quizzes, a medical library and more. In addition, women can subscribe to receive information and updates to meet their lifestyle - newsletters, e-mail reminders, tweets on Twitter and more.
