Key Sutter Health System Average
The Sutter Health System Average (mean) is calculated by taking the sum of all non-excluded hospitals' scores (where there was at least one case that met the inclusion criteria) and dividing by the total number of hospitals.
Data Source: Data pulled from MIDAS DataVision ( and provided to CMS), August 2007 - July 2008
The number of cases is too small (n<25) for purposes of reliably predicting hospital performance

Learn about Sutter Health's special initiative on treatment of heart attack
In January 2003, physicians and heart experts from across the Sutter network joined forces and created a task force to standardize care for heart attack patients and improve their chance of survival and their quality of life. The task force developed a best practice model of care for patients based on the most advanced research available.
