Thanks for stopping by to take a look at our electronic annual report. It's just one example of some of the innovative things we're doing across our not-for-profit Sutter Health network.

In transforming our annual report, we wanted the new online version to be easier to understand, perhaps a little more entertaining and certainly more accessible to a variety of audiences.

We're also working to transform the care we provide to achieve the highest levels of health care access and quality - all at a great value. And the first step is listening.

Like never before, we're spending a tremendous amount of focused time and effort in listening to our patients and their families. We're capturing your feelings, desires and needs, so we may interpret those ideas into the best approach to care at the bedside, in the doctor's office or even on the telephone.

We're responding, adapting... transforming to make sure every patient experience is the best it can be - each and every time.

By virtually all accounts, 2006 was an impressive year of achievement for our not-for-profit network. We made significant leaps in patient safety and health care quality, expanded our physician infrastructure, created new points of access for patients, enhanced our model support programs for the uninsured and continued to invest in our top resource - our employees. But we won't stop here; we'll continue listening and transforming.
