Fostering a Rewarding Work Environment

Sutter was selected, for the fourth year in a row, as a top workplace for information technology professionals by IDG's Computerworld magazine.

Of the top 100, Sutter Health ranked 42nd across the entire IT industry.

We placed fourth in health care nationally and are the best place to work in the western U.S. for health care.

"Information technology is integral to Sutter Health's commitment to providing patients with the highest quality care possible. Sutter's IT professionals take great pride in knowing that the work they do helps save lives."

To help our employees stay healthy and support their well-being, Sutter Health launched an innovative lifestyle management and wellness coaching program - Sutter Health Partners.

Employees have access to health risk assessments, quarterly lunch-and-learn wellness sessions, walking programs, discounts at local gyms, one-on-one coaching and more.

Almost $1.1 million in college scholarship funds was awarded to 788 students as a part of our Sutter Health network's Van R. Johnson Sutter Scholars program.

The scholarships aid students heading into their 2006/2007 academic year whose parents and grandparents are employees of Sutter Health.

"I have worked at Sutter for more than 20 years, and it is the most supportive organization to work for. It is so nice to recognize students' academic achievements and their commitment to the community through the Van R. Johnson Sutter Scholar program. As a result, Sutter shows its commitment to the community and how it is a true leader."
