Report to Our Communities
The Sutter Health Board of Directors approved the investment of $400 million into the Sutter Health Retirement Plan, keeping the pension plan fully funded for tens of thousands of active and retired employees.
Sutter Davis Hospital, Sutter Maternity & Surgery Center of Santa Cruz and Sutter Medical Foundation were recognized by Modern Healthcare magazine as among the nation's "100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare" in 2011.
Sutter Health's Live Well for Life program received gold awards from two leading workplace wellness organizations. The awards recognize our efforts in providing health improvement programs to employers, while helping them reduce their overall health care costs. Live Well for Life offers a variety of resources and tools for worksite wellness programs, including personal health assessments, customized newsletters, health improvement seminars, onsite biometric screenings and more.
Readers of Careers & the disabled magazine voted Sutter Health among the nation's "Top 50 Employers."
We received the Patriot Award from Employer Support of Guard and Reserve. The group recognizes organizations that demonstrate leadership in supporting veterans and employees on active duty.
We launched a new hands-on educational series for leaders across Sutter Health that builds upon our successful Management and Clinical Excellence program. The new Accelerated Change Excellence course teaches advanced skills in leadership and collaboration to leaders from various disciplines (doctors, nurses, finance, operations, etc.) across our network. The teams then apply these skills to various projects to help our organization further improve patient care.
