Employees rank Sutter hospital among workplace leaders
Thanks to high ratings by employees, Sutter Roseville Medical Center became a finalist in the 2012 Sacramento Workplace Excellence Leader (SWEL) awards. The awards recognize Sacramento-area companies and organizations whose employees rate them highly in areas such as health benefits, workplace culture and training opportunities. The Sacramento Area Human Resource Association sponsors the awards.
Medical center named one of Bay Area's healthiest
California Pacific Medical Center in 2012 made the top-10 list of the San Francisco Business Times' Bay Area's Healthiest Employers awards for the second consecutive year.
Hospitals listed among best workplaces
Modern Healthcare magazine named Sutter Davis Hospital and Sutter Center for Psychiatry among the nation's 100 Best Places to Work in Health Care for 2012. It was the fourth consecutive year for Sutter Davis to earn the honor and the first for Sutter Center for Psychiatry.
Scholarship opportunity open to employees' families
To support the educational goals of our employees' children and grandchildren, Sutter Health in October 2012 awarded scholarships to 155 students attending community colleges, four-year universities or graduate programs. The awards ranged from $1,000 to $3,000. Our Sutter Scholars program has awarded more than $5.5 million in scholarships since 2003.
Pension helps support employees for the long haul
In January 2012, Sutter Health committed to contributing $400 million to our Sutter Health Retirement Plan. The investment will help support more than 45,000 employees across the Sutter Health network when they retire—and will keep our pension plan fully funded.
