Accessing Health Care Services

Streamlining for Better Care

To better respond to the needs of our communities, Sutter Health organized its services into a five-region structure. In doing so, we made quality care even more accessible and convenient for our patients.

Connecting Patients and Caregivers

More than 275,000 patients partnered with their doctors to manage their health online via our personal health record —a 65 percent increase from the year before.

Vital Services Close to Home

Sutter North Medical Foundation opened Sutter Surgical Hospital - North Valley—a joint venture between Sutter North Medical Foundation, National Surgical Hospitals, Inc. and a coalition of Yuba City independent physicians.

In High Demand

Sutter-affiliated Memorial Medical Center in Modesto cared for a record number of emergency room patients. Treating 76,079 patients in 2009, this ER is one of the busiest in California.

Building on Tradition

Construction began on a new hospital in Castro Valley. The modern, seismically safe facility will replace the 55-year-old Eden Medical Center.

Putting Patients First

Participating physician organizations within the Sutter Medical Network (SMN) strive to provide the same level of excellence, regardless of where patients access care. To ensure consistency, SMN created standards for clinical quality, timely appointments, patient satisfaction and technology adoption.

Road to Recovery

More patients received therapeutic care closer to home at the new Sutter Rehabilitation Institute at Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

Driving Health Care Home

Sutter Lakeside Hospital launched a new mobile health services unit in its community, thanks to support from local donors.
