More than 400,000 patients stay connected with us using our My Health Online services. These personalized, convenient services make it easy for patients to exchange secure emails with their doctors, view most test results, request appointments, renew prescriptions and receive health reminders.

Patients gained mobile access to their My Health Online account via the My Chart app, offered for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

For greater patient convenience, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation and Sutter Gould Medical Foundation began posting wait times online for their Urgent Care Centers.

Sutter Medical Network grew to nearly 5,000 physicians with the addition of the Brown & Toland Physicians group in San Francisco.

On Solid Ground

In 2010, our network invested more than $850 million to fund lifesaving technology across our system and earthquake safety-related hospital construction projects in Oakland, Castro Valley, Burlingame, Santa Rosa and Sacramento.

Investing in Tomorrow's Care Centers

To meet state seismic regulations and our patients' needs, we continued one of the largest hospital building programs ever undertaken in Northern California. This encompasses five major hospital construction projects with costs exceeding $2 billion.

Improving Access for the Disabled

Across our network, we made further strides to ensure that, by 2018, all affiliated care facilities meet new state and federal disability access laws. (This online Annual Report, for example, is specially designed to comply with standards established by the American Disabilities Act.)

A new care management initiative helped ensure that our patients have 24/7 access to needed ancillary services, while reducing their time in the hospital.
