Our Hospitalist Opportunity is compensated on a tiered hourly rate ? based on experience:

- 16 shifts a month (9 hour shifts)

- Plus 6 shifts of night call (additional stipend for night call)

    Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods is seeking Board Certified/Eligible Hospitalists or Internists to join our expanding Hospitalist Program in Santa Rosa. We offer very competitive compensation, benefits. We currently employ 2 full-time and 12 Independent, dynamic and talented hospitalists to staff the Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa hospital.
    SMGR is a 69-member physician-owned, multi-specialty medical group that has served the City of Santa Rosa and surrounding areas for over 10 years. The organization's plan is to grow to 115 medical group physicians and 120,000 patients by 2012. SMGR physicians practice at Sutter Medical Foundation North Bay's (SMFNB) care centers in Sonoma County and surrounding communities. SMFNB's physician services are exclusively provided by SMGR.

    Plans are in place for the construction of a complete outpatient services center in Santa Rosa (anticipated opening early 2010) which will include ambulatory surgery, endoscopy, imaging, laboratory and medical offices.

This is a start up Hospitalist program. The new Hospitalist will be seeing patients in ICU. The position will be covering for Gould Medical Group patients in St. Joseph's Hospital in Stockton and at Lodi Memorial Hospital in Lodi. All US-trained preferred.

    * 7 days on - 7 days off schedule

    * 7am - 7pm shifts

    * Average case load per day is 15-18

    * No initial night shifts
