    Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) seeks a Phase One Clinical Trials Medical Director who will be responsible for the development and growth of the Phase 1 clinical trial program. The director will work closely with the Director of Cancer Care, referring oncologists, pharmaceutical companies and biotech companies to expand the current research program. The director will assume primary oncology care of patients while on study.

    Clinical and Business Development responsibilities will include:

    ?Assumes primary responsibility of all patients while on Phase I clinical trial and selected patients on follow-up phase II studies.

    ?Consults, collaborates and maintains communication with referring physicians.

    ?Ensures that all clinical studies operate to the highest ethical and safety standards and in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements.

    ?Collaborates with Revenue Cycle leadership and research compliance officer to ensure compliant billing practices are in place and efficiently functioning. Protects the integrity and conduct of clinical trials.

    ?Collaborates with regulatory coordinator in managing IRB approval.

    ?Educates providers throughout Sutter Health Bay Area Division on the phase I studies open at PAMF.

    ?Continues to support trials that progress to Phase II. Develops industry relationships to attract phase 1 studies to PAMF.

    ?Provides support in contract negotiations with the study sponsor.

    ?Works collaboratively with the Office of General Counsel in negotiation and implementation of Clinical Trial agreements with sponsors.

    ?Performs long range planning and overall direction setting in collaboration with research director and VP in alignment with planned growth of the Cancer program.

    ?Utilizes knowledge and awareness of the changing industry and marketplace to identify necessary strategic improvements.

    Mountain View is located less than 40 miles from San
    Francisco and 36 miles from Santa Cruz. The city was named
    because of the spectacular view of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
    Historically the town began as a stage stop on the route
    between San Francisco and San Jose known today as El Camino
    Real (Avenue of the Missions).
    The city is located in the heart of the Silicon Valley.
    Downtown contains 4 blocks of restaurants and shops that
    house all cuisines and many different shopping experiences.
    Castro Street is a pedestrian friendly downtown area.
    Entertainment is part of the Mountain View culture. You can
    find many attractions such as the Shoreline Amphitheatre
    Park, Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts and the
    Computer History Museum.
    Enjoy a bike ride or a walk on the newly constructed Stevens
    Creek Trail or for the thrill seekers, Great America
    Amusement Park is minutes away.
    Mountain View is also home to our new Medical Facility, a
    250,000 square-foot, three story outpatient center which
    houses primary and specialty physician services. It also
    features a state-of-the-art outpatient Surgicenter and
    Urgent Care center.
