Location: San Francisco California Pacific Medical Center Opportunity Information PROGRAM DIRECTOR, INTERNAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) seeks an outstanding educator for the position of Program Director for our Internal Medicine Residency. Our not-for-profit academic medical center is comprised of 4 campuses, located in beautiful San Francisco, California. The 60 Internal Medicine residents receive most of their training at the Pacific campus, where a diverse population of community-acquired illness as well as tertiary and quaternary referral-based patients are treated. Our Residency is affiliated with both U.C.S.F. and Dartmouth medical schools and serves as a primary site for the Dartmouth 3rd year students. Our Residency has been ACGME-accredited since 1960, and we maintain accredited fellowships in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Transplant Hepatology and Pulmonary Medicine. The successful candidate for this position will have a minimum of five years of experience as faculty in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program. Essential attributes will include commitment to evidence-based practice and education, innovative thinking, knowledge of changing health care delivery systems and the impact on Graduate Medical Education, the ability to incorporate principles of quality assurance into Resident education and strong administrative skills. Preparing our Residents for success in providing patient-centered care and leading multi-disciplinary teams, as emphasized in the Next Accreditation System (NAS) milestones, will be an important focus of training. Our Residency Program is supported by a strong faculty, two Associate Program Directors, three PGY4 Chief Residents, and an excellent administrative staff.
