Philosophy of Care
I have been with the same group (initially Sunnyvale Medical Clinic, then Camino Medical Group, now PAMF) for many years. The greatest satisfaction I gain from my work is being able to interact with and follow the same group of patients (and now their friends and family) over the years. My practice in Sunnyvale is small with 11 internists but we are part of a larger group which includes Mountain View, Santa Clara and Cupertino. I am very proud of my colleagues and specialists, and trust them with the care of my patients and my own family. I see my role more as a consultant rather than the traditional autocratic physician; there is a lot of information out there nowadays, and I would like to help my patients sort out physical findings as well as the latest recommendations regarding tests, therapies. I am open to discussion about spiritual issues and prayer, as I feel this is integral to physical health. My goals are to learn to listen more effectively, to be more empathetic.
