Philosophy of Care
I feel very fortunate to be able to come to work and truly love what I do. Being an OB/GYN doctor allows me to connect to patients in so many ways. I feel privileged to care for my patient's pregnancy, from seeing that first flicker of the heart on the ultrasound machine, to seeing that baby cradled in her parent's arms. One of my patients said to me at a postpartum visit, "Dr. Ecklund, you are part of the family now!" That statement really touched me because it made me realize how my patients have truly allowed me to care for them in such a deep way. When I am able to use my surgical training to help a woman find relief after years of pelvic pain, there is a great sense of purpose. There is nothing more rewarding then seeing a patient's life changed for the better after surgery. My hope is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to women of all ages. I thank you for allowing me that opportunity.
