Philosophy of Care
For the first 25 years of my career, I was a faculty member of the Stanford Department of Dermatology, where my focus was Medical Dermatology. In addition to being the Chief of Dermatology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, I was also the Associate Residency Director of the Dermatology Residency Program at Stanford, and was in charge of the educational curriculum for the department. After "retiring", I was talked into coming to work at PAMF by many of my former dermatology residents! I still consider myself a "teacher", and feel that educating my patients about their diseases is just as important as giving them the correct medication.
