Philosophy of Care
Hello, and thanks for choosing PAMF's Fremont Center! I'm excited to be a part of your child's health. I was born at Washington Hospital in Fremont, and I remember how much I looked up to my own pediatrician. I can only hope to build just as good a relationship with you and your child, and will watch in amazement along with you as he or she changes and matures with each passing month and year.
I firmly believe in establishing the proper foundation for health in order to pave the way towards a more fruitful, enjoyable life. To this end, I strongly encourage active lifestyles, healthy eating and close family relationships, and I will be checking in with you to see how you're meeting these goals.
I'd like to share a little about myself. I was born in Fremont and attended Ardenwood Elementary, Walters Junior High and Kennedy High School before I finally spread my wings and went to the University of California, Berkeley for college.
At Berkeley, I completed an economics degree along with the required pre-medical courses and made the decision to pursue a medical career, which took me to medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. For four years, I was blessed with a wonderful group of friends, great medical teachers and a beautiful city. It was an easy decision to choose my ultimate specialty: pediatrics.
After three years of pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia, it was time to come home and settle down for good. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be back here with my husband, as we're able to be close to so many family members and friends who've stayed in the Bay Area. Among the other perks of being back here in sunny California are the multiple Farmer's Markets, and the amazing diversity of people and cuisines, as well as the many hiking/biking/jogging trails that can be found all around the Bay Area.
We recently welcomed our son into the family. He is a source of joy and our fast-growing daughter has welcomed him with open arms. It is no question a challenging stage of life with two young ones, but can't argue that the blessings far outweigh the bad!
All doctors on this site are affiliated with Sutter Health's network of care - members of the medical staff of Sutter-affiliated hospitals, affiliated medical groups, and independent practice associations that participate in clinical initiatives.
