Personal Interests
Dr. Bartis is married and has three sons. He enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities, including running, cycling, swimming, hiking, golf and skiing. Dr. Bartis has competed in more than 100 triathlons (including Hawaii Ironman and the Ultraman) and 30 marathons (including the Boston Marathon), as well as 10 ultra-marathons (including The Western States 100 Mile). Dr. Bartis is a music connoisseur and also plays the trumpet.

Philosophy of Care
Dr. Bartis was born in Oakland, California and was raised in the East Bay. His father is a retired podiatrist who performed his residency training in Oakland and inspired both of his sons to become podiatrists. He also has a brother who lives in Southern California who is also a practicing podiatrist. Dr. Bartis believes in leading a healthy lifestyle through proper diet and daily exercise and believes that healthy feet can contribute to a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Bartis is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association and the California Podiatric Medical Association. He is also past president of the Santa Clara Valley Podiatric Medical Society.
