Mills-Peninsula Health Services
Ranked two consecutive years as one of America's Top 100 Hospitals, Mills-Peninsula Health Services operates two community health facilities with a total of 403 inpatient beds. The Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame is an acute care hospital offering cardiac and cancer care, mental health and chemical dependency services, and special nursing units for adult, orthopedic and pediatric patients. A Family Birth Center and full-service Emergency Department with helipad is also available 24 hours a day. The Mills Health Center in San Mateo offers primarily outpatient services with the latest capabilities in surgery, treatment and rehabilitative therapies, as well as the community's most extensive education and wellness promotion programs.

A non-profit organization, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) for Health Care, Research and Education is a pioneer in a multi-specialty group practice of medicine and outpatient medicine. It is nationally known for its innovations in treatment methods and technology and is a leader in health education. PAMF includes the Health Care Division, staffed by physicians of the Palo Alto Medical Clinic; the Education Division; and the Research Institute. Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center of Santa Cruz
The first free-standing facility in the nation to offer state-of-the-art perinatal and medical/surgical services combining the luxury of a fine hotel with the security of a licensed accredited hospital, the Sutter Maternity & Surgery Center of Santa Cruz offer 30 licensed beds, five large operating rooms and an endo-procedure room. Specializing in surgical/medical services and obstetrical services, the center provides additional health care services such as diagnostic imaging, pain management, physical therapy, cardiology, pediatrics and prostate treatment. The center's family-centered birthing services offer 12 labor, delivery, recovery and post partum suites and delivers 775 babies annually.
