What To Expect After Surgery
TUIP is a much less invasive procedure than Reference transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) Opens New Window. You are typically able to go home after surgery. You may not be able to urinate and may need to have a Reference catheter Opens New Window to drain your bladder. For most men, this lasts for a week or less.
