What Affects the Test
Reasons you may not be able to have the biopsy or why the results may not be helpful include:
- Not being able to lie still during the biopsy.
- Having a condition that affects your Reference immune system Opens New Window. This may increase your chance for an infection at the biopsy site.
- Not getting a good sample of bone tissue. A good sample may be hard to get to with a needle.
