Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation | Sutter Health
Getting You Back to the Life You Love

Physical therapy and rehabilitation are integral to full recovery following injuries and orthopedic surgery. Joint replacement surgery requires an extensive period of physical therapy to help patients learn to move effectively and safely with their new joints. Likewise, everything from overuse injuries to rotator cuff tears and serious accidents require different components of PT and rehab.
Here in Northern California, the Sutter Health network has an extensive network of rehabilitation and physical therapy options for orthopedics services, including:
- Outpatient rehabilitation
- Inpatient, acute rehabilitation
- Inpatient, post-acute rehabilitation
- Occupational medicine
- Sports physical therapy and rehabilitation.
Inpatient Rehabilitation
Three Sutter Health hospitals offer in-hospital units dedicated to physical therapy and rehabilitation, for those with extensive needs from serious accidents, stokes and other medical conditions.
