Scores are based on commercial patient responses to the Patient Assessment Survey (PAS). Adult patients from more than 180 California medical groups and Independent Practice Associations (IPAs) responded to the survey. Patients are asked to rate the care and service provided by their doctors and other medical staff in the medical group during 2009.
