Generous donors helped create the new Amador Infusion Center, reducing a patient’s treatment day from 12 hours to three hours with this local option.

With the help of generous Sutter Philanthropy donors, we opened an Acute Care for the Elderly Unit in Sacramento in addition to one in San Francisco to serve patients at Sutter’s new CPMC Mission Bernal Campus hospital.
Sutter Provides Bundles of Services for Every Baby
Smart Start
To help support every baby’s first year of life and raise awareness of safe sleep habits, we launched “Smart Start,” an innovative campaign funded entirely by Sutter Philanthropy at Sutter’s Lakeside Hospital in partnership with Mother-Wise, Lake County Tribal Health and First 5 Lake County.
Nurturing NICU
Generous donors help fund programs in neonatal intensive care units across Sutter. Years after their hospital experience, many parents remain connected to the caring people who staff the NICUs.
Lactation Consultants
In 2018 at Sutter Maternity & Surgery Center of Santa Cruz — and at all Sutter maternity care facilities — our breastfeeding and lactation specialists focused on helping new mothers provide the best nutrition options for their newborns.
Honoring Generosity: Meet ‘Ron the Robot’
Ron Leineke helped fund the da Vinci Surgical System at Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento, designed to facilitate complex surgery using a minimally invasive approach. The gift tripled the size of the new surgery center and made its benefits available to more patients.
