This class is led by one of ourknowledgeable Certified Lactation Educators to help prepare the nursing personand their partner in the how-to of breastfeeding. The first skill your newbornwill learn is breastfeeding. Class includes getting started at the hospital andcontinuing at home, the importance of skin-to-skin contact, feeding cues,avoiding problems that may complicate your experience, proper latching onto thebreast, tips on how your partner can help you, and physical and emotionaladjustments for the breastfeeding family. Partner is welcome and encouraged toattend. Early registration is advised, this is a very popular class!
What to Bring
Please have a life size soft doll or stuffedbear (18”-22” preferably), a bottle, nursing pillow if you have one or aregular pillow and a comfy place to sit to try different feeding positions.
Cancellation Policy
Refund Policy: Only written request submitted 10 days prior to the beginning of a class are accepted. A refund will be processed minus a $15.00 processing fee. Verbal request are not accepted. If a scheduled class is missed there are no "make up" classes allowed.
