Music Therapy

Music therapy improves health and enhances quality of life for patients. Benefits include decreased perceptions of pain, distraction from uncomfortable procedures, improved ability to handle stressors, and reduction in depression.
 
Music has an extraordinary power to bring comfort and peace. Recent clinical studies show that therapeutic music provides evidence-based beneficial effects on hospital patients.  Therapeutic music also decreases sedation needs for pediatric procedures, alleviates pain in conjunction with anesthesia or pain medication, elevate patients’ moods and counteracts depression, promotes movement for physical rehabilitation; among other healing benefits.
