In this uniquely challenging time, we thank you.
The COVID-19 pandemic provided clarity for so many of us about what matters most: safety, equity, community, access to housing, work and healthcare, and most of all – loving connection with others. And as our philanthropic partners, you made it a priority to help improve the health and wellbeing of those around you. Thanks to you, Sutter Health’s CPMC has been able to continue providing expert, compassionate care to those who need it most, while ensuring our patients and healthcare workers have everything they need to stay as safe as possible.
The global pandemic also shined a light on areas of healthcare in need of change. Philanthropy’s task is to accelerate this vehicle wherever possible by inviting grateful patients and generous community members to be a catalyst in transforming heathcare for all.
Your generosity funds CPMC’s response to the pandemic in many critical ways.
$2.69 million has been raised as of March, 2022 for CPMC’s COVID-19 Response Fund and over 150,000 pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) have been donated to protect our 3,500+ frontline hospital workers. Throughout, we’ve maintained our focus on patient-centric care. Please continue to support CPMC's COVID-19 Response efforts as the pandemic continues to impact our patients and medical center.
New areas of focus for COVID-19 relief funding in CPMC's community include:
Research studies on disparities in access to COVID-19 testing
A study of pregnant women evaluating whether exposure to the virus differs by race or ethnicity
Drug studies of treatments for breathing difficulties and lung damage caused by the COVID-19 virus
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, CPMC’s rapid response has also included:
