Jey Chung, MD, is a pulmonary disease specialist at Sutter’s California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC). He is board certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine, pulmonary diseases and interventional pulmonology.
Dr. Chung investigates novel interventional procedures, including therapies for lung cancer, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, and pleural diseases. He participates in clinical trials in these areas and has authored publications and given talks on the use of stents in airway stenosis, novel therapies for asthma such as bronchial thermoplasty, and state-of-art lung cancer screening and management options.
Dr. Chung obtained an MD from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, CA, and further fellowship in interventional pulmonology at the Harvard Hospital systems (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital) in Boston, MA.
