Each trainee will work with a primary supervisor for the duration of their training experience and a secondary supervisor for a variety of cases. This includes a minimum of two hours per week of regularly scheduled, face-to-face individual supervision with the specific intent of supervising the psychological services rendered directly by the trainee. In addition, supervisors provide case-based supervision that is pertinent to the patients seen in the clinic. Each trainee has access to a secondary supervisor on-site and can consult with medical staff.  Every case is directly supervised by a supervisor. Supervision will focus on taking a case from referral stages through feedback, including communication of results to the medical team. The trainee will work with the supervisor to plan the evaluation, conduct relevant clinical interviews, assess the patient, conceptualize the case, report relevant findings, and develop appropriate recommendations tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Each supervisor will continually strive for quality in the professional development of all trainees - diversifying referral experiences, expanding a trainee’s knowledge and repertoire of measures, and increasing effectiveness in serving as an expert consultant to a variety of stakeholders. Given the nature of the fellowship, specific emphasis will be placed on learning the neuroanatomy of disorders as pertains to patients seen. The primary supervisor serves as both mentor and monitor/guide for the fellow’s clinical work and professional development. The delegated supervisor also monitors caseload and provides feedback and guidance. In accordance with California State Law as outlined by the state Board of Psychology, the fellow has access to their primary or secondary supervisor at all times (phone, email, text, etc.). ### Living in Sacramento California's capital city is home to rural, suburban and urban neighborhoods, all with the mild climate California is famous for.
