Jill M. Watt, CNM, WHNP

Originally from Seattle, Jill has been living and practicing midwifery in Santa Cruz since 2019. Jill seeks to provide holistic, compassionate, and evidence-based care to women and pregnant people throughout their reproductive lifespans. She holds a deep belief in the wisdom of her patients, the strength of the human body, and the power of undisturbed birth.

As a midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner, Jill provides holistic gynecologic, well-woman, and pregnancy-related care to low-risk patients. In addition to these services, Jill also cares for families and attends births at both the Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center and Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.

Jill holds particular interest in adolescent health, gynecology, group prenatal care, and trauma-informed care. Her goal is for the patients and families she works with to feel listened to, cared for, and empowered by their interactions with the healthcare system. 

In terms of educational background: Jill graduated from Stanford University in 2012 with a B.A. in Human Biology, University Distinction, and Phi Beta Kappa honors. Her nursing degree is from Oregon Health & Science University (B.S. 2015, summa cum laude). She completed her midwifery training at the University of California, San Francisco, graduating with a Masters of Science in Nursing in 2017. She holds active state licensure and national certification both as a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
