I believe that my role as a physician is to be an ally and partner to my patients in order to make the best medical decisions that will work for them in their lives. I know that everyone has unique challenges and situations in their lives and understanding what these are and working with them is a vital part of medical care that often gets ignored or overlooked. In addition, I am a firm believer that prevention is the best form of medicine. Early screening and detection followed by treatment through life style changes and/or medical management is the best way to prevent many long term health problems and complications from developing. By becoming a partner with my patients, and finding strategies that work for them in their lives, it is my hope is to help my patients lead long, healthy and happy lives.
