I strive to address and treat patients' acute episodic illnesses and injuries as expertly as I can. In the Urgent Care setting I know that most conditions will encounter are self limiting, and that most patients will respond well to compassionate reassurance, patience, nature and time. There is a role for prescription therapeutics of course, but I believe that educating patients is one of the most important services I can provide. My greater than 25 years experience in Emergency Medicine has trained me to recognize the serious and sometimes subtle, presentations of true medical and surgical emergencies. I will use this training to help my patients get the most appropriate and timely care they need.

The medical care system is complex and multifaceted, and at times very confusing to patients. I know that when I can explain the process and sequences of care that a patient will likely encounter, whatever their disposition is from the urgent care setting, it is generally well received and appreciated.
