The ocean in all its fierce glory and its gentle shimmering elegance. Languages. Architecture. Craftsmanship. Fitness. Just about any water sport or activity. History. There are individuals throughout history that are truly remarkable and chief among them is Benjamin Franklin. One of the many wise things Franklin said is this: “Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff that life is made of.” In my family, we turned off the TV over a decade ago. Almost everything offered on television is a waste of time. We go for walks, ride bikes, read together, cook from scratch, care for our house and attend to our loved ones… the list could go on and on. There is so much to investigate and attempt to understand and enjoy in our world – and there is no guarantee of how much time we have – so make the most of time because time is the essence of life.
