80% of our Hospice Bereavement Program budget: This includes providing no-cost individual and group grief counseling throughout 27 Northern California counties. Our Bereavement Program provides grief support throughout 27 Northern California counties. Services are available to hospice patients, their families and the people of our communities. In 2020, our matching grant was met thanks to donor support.
Volunteer education to train and support our team of dedicated hospice volunteers in providing respite care: Volunteers are an important part of our team of nurses, social workers, home health aides and chaplains who provide compassionate care for our hospice patients and help ease their family’s stress and exhaustion.
Virtual Reality Program: Last year, our donors provided funding for a Virtual Reality Program that provides stress relief for our hospice clinicians, comfort for our patients and respite for their family caregivers.
Equipment upgrades: These provide our home health staff with physical therapy equipment, blood pressure cuffs in various sizes, and ultra sound and accuvein machines to create a comfortable experience for our patients and to enable accurate care is provided in the home.
