Yes. Our program specifically addresses the behavioral needs of children from age 3 to 12 years old, with diagnoses such as affective post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, adjustment disorders, conduct disorders, oppositional defiant disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, and depression, bipolar and other mood disorders.
Our program provides individualized and group classes for school-aged patients in our Residential Treatment Program. Our teachers, instructors and aides work in conjunction with your child's home school or school district to keep up with the curriculum and homework assignments necessary for a smooth transition to and from Kāhi Mōhala.
Yes. Kāhi Mōhala has recently seen an increase in patients with eating disorders. We are successfully treating these patients through education, proper nutrition and re-feeding treatment plans. Our treatment team can help you or your loved one get back to good health while developing a positive body image and healthy eating habits.
Kāhi Mōhala is an authorized provider for most health insurance plans, including HMSA, Kaiser, TRICARE and QUEST.
You may qualify for financial assistance. Sutter care centers offer free care or care at a substantial discount for certain uninsured and insured patients based on family income and medical expenses. Reduced prices are offered to the uninsured, including a prompt pay discount to uninsured patients who pay their bills within 30 days. Please ask for information about these policies at registration, or call (808) 671-8511.
