Thoughts from Our Leader
Looking back at 2022, I am reminded that philanthropy thrives when we cultivate bold thinking, strong partnerships, and a common mission. Despite the continued challenges of living in the ripples brought on by a global pandemic, thousands of generous donors chose to invest nearly $16 million in Sutter Health in the valley area and at Sutter Care at Home last year, expanding life-saving programs, promoting healthy outcomes, and investing in advanced tools and technology—and ultimately ensuring that our teams have what they need to deliver excellent care now and into the future.
But what’s even more exciting is what’s to come: the opportunity to have a voice in shaping healthcare for future generations, and the privilege to improve people’s lives. The shift in how our communities are accessing care since the pandemic have underscored the need to remove barriers to care and address the healthcare challenges of the future. Through philanthropy, you can join us in becoming the healthcare system of choice in Northern California; one that is distinguished by exceptional quality and equitable care at an affordable price.
The needs of today are immense, but so is our ability to meet those needs. Together, let’s rise to the many challenges of this moment. We are here to help you find your path as a donor and help you define your philanthropic journey.
“What lies ahead is the chance for us to work together in a manner that will ripple through future generations in an unprecedented way and in doing so, we will change this Valley for the best and forever.”
Ralph Andersen, beloved philanthropist who led the campaign at SMCS for Anderson Lucchetti Women’s & Children’s Center
