No. We see patients who have doctors affiliated with many different healthcare organizations.
Sutter Walk-In Care is staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are trained to treat people for many common illnesses like strep throat, the flu and seasonal allergies. These highly skilled clinicians can prescribe medications and treatments based on your diagnosis. All of our Sutter Walk-In Care clinics are overseen by a medical director and follow physician-developed clinical protocols.
If your condition requires ongoing care, we will refer you to your primary care doctor. If you don’t have a doctor, we can refer you to one. You’ll also receive an "After Visit Summary,” describing the care you received and our recommendations for treatment. Unless you prefer otherwise, your doctor will also be notified of your visit.
Sutter Walk-In Care locations are open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. We are closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
