Everyone is welcome at Sutter Walk-In Care, no matter where you receive your ongoing medical care. Sutter Walk-In Care services are available for adults and children 18 months of age and older. (We recommend infants receive care from their pediatricians.)
You do not need insurance to be treated at Sutter Walk-In Care. We accept credit cards.
Appointments are not needed, but we encourage scheduling ahead online or by phone. Walk-ins are also welcome.
If our care team determines you need a prescription, we can order one for you. You can choose where to have your prescription filled.
No. We see patients who have doctors affiliated with many different healthcare organizations.
Sutter Walk-In Care is staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are trained to treat people for many common illnesses like strep throat, the flu and seasonal allergies. These highly skilled clinicians can prescribe medications and treatments based on your diagnosis. All of our Sutter Walk-In Care clinics are overseen by a medical director and follow physician-developed clinical protocols.
If your condition requires ongoing care, we will refer you to your primary care doctor. If you don’t have a doctor, we can refer you to one. You’ll also receive an "After Visit Summary,” describing the care you received and our recommendations for treatment. Unless you prefer otherwise, your doctor will also be notified of your visit.
