Patients who obtain care from Sutter are being invited to donate blood samples and authorize access to medical data that can then be used in research to accelerate discoveries to improve and maintain health. Learn more about the Biobank (PDF).
The first phase of the Biobank will enroll 100,000 adults, ages 35 through 90+, to support research with a focus on healthy aging, chronic migraine, highly malignant forms of cancer, pre-clinical heart failure, multiple sclerosis, and movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease. People invited to participate can review detailed information in the consent form for the Biobank before deciding if they are interested.
