Sutter Health today announced a $250,000 donation to the American Red Cross Gold Country Region to support disaster relief efforts across Texas.
The donation bolsters the American Red Cross’ ongoing efforts to provide food, shelter and other desperately needed supplies to those affected by the devastating hurricane.
“We want the people of Texas to know that they’re not alone, and we hope our donation will help bring safety, shelter, comfort and relief to those in need,” said Sarah Krevans, president and CEO of Sutter Health. “Now is the time for communities across the nation to come together and support the first responders and help those who have lost so much.”
Sutter Health has long partnered with the American Red Cross and other organizations to help people in need both close to home and around the world. Our contributions have helped support relief efforts during many natural disasters including the typhoon in the Philippines, the earthquake in Nepal, Hurricanes Sandy and Katrina and the massive Northern California fires. Last year, Sutter Health invested $669 million in care and services for the poor and underserved.
