Sutter Health Sponsors Sacramento River Cats Bike Valet
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The sun is shining and the faint sound of
a ball hitting a bat resonates around West Sacramento these days. That means just
one thing – baseball season is upon us.
The Sacramento River Cats open their 2018 season next week and Sutter Health fans looking forward to attending games have another mode of transportation to get to Raley Field – their bicycles.
Sutter Health is sponsoring the River Cats bike valet this season, allowing fans to ride their bikes to the stadium and park them in a safe location where they will be monitored during the game. Fans who ride their bikes to evening games will get a special Sutter Health bike light while supplies last. All riders will receive information about Sutter Health Urgent Care clinics with directions to the nearest locations.
“We are excited to sponsor this very cool service that the River Cats offer to their fans,” said Ariel Feigenbaum, principal, strategic partnerships, Sutter Health. “Sacramento is such a walkable city and riding your bike to the game is a healthy choice. We want the community to know that we are proud of them for making a healthy choice and as a result strive to make their biking experience the best one possible.”
The bike valet is located along Ballpark Drive where bikes will be watched at no charge.
This new sponsorship further enhances Sutter Health’s footprint at Raley Field. In addition to the bike valet, Sutter Health sponsors the fireworks show, newborn baby photos, summer caravans where the players visit several affiliates and the diaper derby at the stadium.
Also, patrons who are visiting Raley Field for the first time will get a “first game” button – also sponsored by Sutter Health. Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento donated wheelchairs to Raley Field in December for those fans with mobility limitations.
The River Cats open the season on April 5 at Tacoma. The home opener is April 10 against Reno. For the complete schedule, visit rivercats.com.
