Sutter Health CEO Named to ‘100 Most Influential People in Healthcare’ List
Modern Healthcare recently named Sutter Health president and CEO, Sarah Krevans, to its list of the “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare 2016.”
In January 2016, Krevans became president and CEO of the not-for-profit Sutter Health network. Under her leadership, Truven Health Analytics named Sutter Health and Sutter’s Valley Area among America’s top five large health systems earlier this year. Truven Analytics’ independent data show that top performers like Sutter Health save more lives, have fewer complications and spend less per patient episode of care.
Krevans joined Sutter Health in 1999 as senior vice president of managed care. From 2000 to 2011, she served as regional executive officer and president of Sutter Health Sacramento Sierra Region. As chief operating officer from 2012 to 2015, Krevans led several major initiatives, including a $20 million three-year commitment in 2012 to form a system-wide team tasked with developing new products and care solutions. She also oversaw the establishment of a shared-service center to consolidate billing, human resources and finance functions.
Modern Healthcare notes: “The 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare awards & recognition program honors individuals in healthcare who are deemed by their peers and the senior editors of Modern Healthcare to be the most influential individuals in the industry, in terms of leadership and impact.
