Sutter Health Names New Chief External Affairs Officer
Sutter Health announced today the appointment of Grace Davis as chief external affairs officer.
Davis will lead the comprehensive external affairs strategy that builds on Sutter Health’s strong community ties and its dedication to improving the health of all through its not-for-profit mission.
“In the face of unprecedented change in healthcare, our pioneering care team is committed to remaining a steady, trusted source for equitable healthcare,” said Jill Ragsdale, Sutter Health’s senior vice president and chief people and culture officer. “Grace will play an instrumental role in advancing that focus by leading a coordinated approach to public affairs and community benefit across our network.”
Davis joins Sutter Health from Intel Corporation, where she spent the last 17 years in a series of leadership roles within the company. She most recently oversaw public affairs for Intel’s manufacturing and employment footprint in the U.S. and overseas markets, including China, Southeast Asia, Israel, Ireland and Latin America.
Before joining Intel, Davis served as the executive director for TechAmerica, now part of CompTIA, where she managed a council consisting of 900 high-tech companies. She also spent a few years on Capitol Hill as a press secretary and legislative director.
Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from San Jose State University. Additionally, she has served on multiple boards of directors, including the Bay Area Council, California Manufacturers and Technology Association, United Way of Sacramento, Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce and Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, which she chaired in 2014. She was recognized in 2013 by the Sacramento Business Journal as one of its “Women who Mean Business” honorees.
