Sutter Health Welcomes New Chief Marketing & Branding Officer
Arra G. Yerganian joins Sutter Health’s not-for-profit network as its first chief marketing & branding officer.
Recognized by colleagues as an innovator in residence, a marketing visionary and a customer experience evangelist, Yerganian brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the leading Northern California health network serving 3 million patients and their families.
Yerganian will lead Sutter Health’s comprehensive and differentiated brand strategy that reflects the network’s innovative market-driven and value-added solutions, as well as underscore its commitment as Northern California’s first choice for providing personalized high-value healthcare.

Yerganian most recently served as chief marketing officer for San Francisco-based One Medical, an innovative primary care network focused on transforming patients’ experiences through improved quality and accessibility of care. He drove marketing strategies, cultivated brand stewardship and efficacy, guided advocacy initiatives, and held responsibility for member growth. His vision shaped the voice, tone and personality of the brand, leading to influential ad campaigns such as “The Doctor’s Office, Reinvented.”
Prior to joining One Medical, Yerganian served as chief marketing officer for University of Phoenix, the nation’s largest university. He led the organization’s successful “Let’s get to work” campaign connecting education to careers and transforming the image and personality of the University of Phoenix brand. This work helped drive unprecedented increases in brand preference and familiarity.
A graduate of Boston University and Harvard Business School’s acclaimed Executive Education Strategic Marketing Management program, Yerganian earlier held senior international marketing roles at Procter & Gamble, the Dial Corp. and Atari.
