Two Sutter Executives Named to Becker’s 40 Under 40 Healthcare Leaders for 2018
Two physicians with Sutter Health connections were named to Becker’s Healthcare’s list of 40 healthcare leaders under 40 years old. The list honors rising stars in healthcare who will be among the next generation of leaders. Becker’s recognized leaders for their innovative approach to patient care and health system improvement, overseeing crucial expansion projects and growing companies from the ground up. The honorees connected to Sutter are:
Veena Goel Jones, M.D., medical director of Digital Patient Experience at Sutter Health and Pediatric Hospitalist at Sutter Health’s Palo Alto Medical Foundation. Dr. Jones joined Sutter Health in 2016. Since taking on her current role, she has helped facilitate Sutter’s digital transformation, including spearheading efforts to improve end-user experiences with Sutter’s patient portal, My Health Online.
Shoshana Ungerleider, M.D., founder of End Well Symposium, an event designed to address end-of-life issues in the multidisciplinary community, and the Ungerleider Palliative Care Education Fund, which supports innovative programs that further palliative care education. In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, Dr. Ungerleider serves on the teaching faculty for Sutter Health’s California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and sits on the foundation board of trustees.
