Nearly twenty years ago, Novato Community Hospital (NCH) was built thanks in large part to generous community donors. Currently serving approximately 27,000 patients annually, NCH has since grown to become the hospital of choice for families in Marin County who seek exceptional, patient-centered care close to home. After two decades and serving hundreds of thousands of patients, we aim to modernize the patient experience and enhance patient comfort.
As part of a $750,000 modernization campaign, we plan to equip the facility with convenient cordless docking stations in all patient rooms and Sonifi TV in all medical surgical rooms. Sonifi is an interactive education platform that ensures patients are prepared with all of the information they need before leaving the hospital.
NCH will also acquire state-of-the art ICU and Medical Surgical beds. The newest ICU technology includes beds that continuously monitor a patient's heart and respiratory rate and are designed to support early mobility for improved recovery and prevent complications associated with longer hospital stays.
Ultimately the project will also beautify indoor and outdoor spaces including hospital grounds and picnic areas, the café and staff lounge areas to ensure a relaxing and healing healthcare environment.
