He is an academic vascular surgeon specializing in complex aortic, carotid, and peripheral arterial disease, with particular expertise in abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms and stroke-related carotid interventions. Dr. Bazan is nationally recognized for his work in vascular innovation, translational research, and surgical education. His research focuses on carotid plaque vulnerability, stroke prevention, predictive analytics, and the development of novel non-opioid therapies.
